At some point in my Turns All Year journey, I figured out the secret of the Aug-Sept twofer. You go to Wy’east (Mt. Hood) over Labor Day weekend to ski chair lifts for the last “free” skiing of the year. If you’re lucky, Labor Day falls over the end of August and the beginning of September. If you’re not lucky, you go on August 31 and September 1 anyway because people be tired of hiking and skiing sun cups.
We followed this same program for Turns All Year Months 94 & 95, also known as August & September 2019. Unlike last year, the holiday fortuitously landed on a weekend, so I did not have to spend a day working and Theresa did not go for a run on which she was stung by many bees. Woo!
Instead we had a new fun crew with which to enjoy our tutu adventures. We skied, we drank, we were merry. And while our max speeds only topped out around 41mph (well short of the 60mph of year’s past), we had a darn good time hooting it up for many, many laps down the slope. Here are my favorite memories:

Fun fact: you can camp down by Trillium Lake. Be sure to reserve a spot in advance, or get there early!
